Joyce-Gillespie-Harrington (JGH) Educational & Charitable Foundation Announces 2015 Scholarship Awardees

On March 21, the Joyce-Gillespie-Harrington (JGH) Educational & Charitable Foundation of Zeta Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. held its foundation’s 35th annual Black and Gold Scholarship Ball in Chantilly, VA. We thank our many supporters for their continued interest and investment in the foundation’s initiatives focused on advancing education and community service to support education opportunity, uplift those in need, and address various social issues.

The foundation and almost 400 of its supporters celebrated a wonderful evening in recognizing ten college bound scholarship awardees who excelled in academics, leadership, and community service, while also overcoming various challenges and awarding $15,000 in scholarships to these students. We appreciated the opportunity to provide the forum for supporters to join us to applaud these students and their parents for their excellent work in building a strong foundation in pursuing their higher education.

The JGH Educational & Charitable Foundation awarded in Northern Virginia that appreciates the support and partnerships that enables the foundation to award scholarships and implement its community service projects to make life better for others.

We invite you to join us on April 9, 2016 at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, VA for our 36th annual Black and Gold event as we aim to provide additional scholarships to wonderful students in Northern Virginia.
